Job Summary:

The release engineering manager is responsible for working with the release engineering resource team in implementing, releasing and maintaining proprietary and nonproprietary software applications of the company.

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading a small team, assigning and tracking system implementation and software release tasks
  • Participate in process mapping, requirements gathering and system configuration/design disucssions
  • Liasion with business operations and DevOps to collaborate on technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with software application vendors on system releases and support
  • Support software application required documentation
  • Support the testing and automation of application releases
  • Provide review feedback on IT SOPs
  • Manage system administration tasks of software applications
  • Provide software application training and support information to the support team resources (L1/L2 helpdesk agents)
  • Ensure software applications adhere to Velocity IT SOPs, policies, and cybersecurity standards
  • Support O365 routine support and administrative tasks
  • Support IT infrastructure and networking administration tasks
  • Support IT and application help desk ticket escalation resolution for areas of expertise

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with computer systems validation
  • Project management of system implementations
  • Technical experience with software applications, development, configuration and administration

 

Education and Experience:

  • 3 Years of Management experience
  • 3 Years of System implementation and Release Management
  • ITIL is a plus
  • PMI is a plus
