Job Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for multifunctional oversight of revenue growth, general ledgerand Accounts Payable of the organization by managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting of each. This role includes preparing budgets, managing forecasting activities, analyzing financial performance, and ensuring that all regulatory and compliance requirements are met. The Finance Manager will play a key role in influencing decision-making through financial insights and analysis supporting the strategic objectives of the organization. 

Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget process and reforecasting.
  • Provide detailed financial analyses to support business decision-making, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Oversee the creation and review of financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze trends and provide insights to senior leadership on financial performance.

 

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Manage the preparation and monitoring of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with departmental heads to ensure accurate and timely budget tracking.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in financial forecasts and provide actionable insights.

 

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure successful annual audits.
  • Ensuring revenue is accurately recorded and forecasted across portfolio. Support the pre close review of Revenue to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Monitoring project margin performance and ensuring appropriate actions are in place to drive margin performance across the portfolio.

 

Cost Management:

  • Lead cost analysis and cost-saving initiatives across the organization.
  • Monitor capital expenditure, operating expenses, and project-specific budgets.
  • Monitoring invoicing flow and open debtors across portfolio to ensure cash neutrality.
  • Engaging with clients on invoicing and cash collections issues as they arise.

 

Cash Flow Management:

  • Manage the organization's cash flow by forecasting future cash needs, optimizing working capital, and identifying potential funding requirements.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure efficient cash management.

 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team.
  • Ensure continuous development and training opportunities for team members to enhance their skills.

 

Compliance & Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings and reporting.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and recommend solutions to minimize financial risk.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Financial Acumen: Ability to understand and interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with senior leadership.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to anticipate future financial trends and proactively address potential issues.
  • Language: Ability to read, write, and speak English and Country specific language at minimum B2 fluency

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA) preferred.
  • five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive experience in finance, including experience in financial planning and analysis preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing financial teams.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
